Kirkus gives Dead Money a starred review

In just a few months Dead Money will be hitting the shelves of your favorite bookstore (January 28, 2025—mark your calendar!). A few updates:

Kirkus

I'm thrilled to share that Kirkus Reviews, one of the largest and oldest book review organizations in the country, has given Dead Money a terrific starred review. You can read the entire review here; snapshot below.

“Twisty, propulsive… Kerr has created one of the most memorable female thriller protagonists in recent years…A sharply observed portrait of the tech world and the role ambitious women play in it.”

Kirkus reviews are widely consumed within the book trade (booksellers, librarians, publishers, etc.) and they give stars to roughly ten percent of the books they review.

Brit and Co

Also very pleased to share that Brit and Co have named Dead Money one of their "50 Most-Anticipated New Books" for 2025. Read the whole list here.

Dead Money graphics and video

The intrepid marketing and publicity team at Penguin Random House has been putting together really cool graphics and videos to support Dead Money in the lead-up to pubIication. I'm posting many of these on my Instagram but wanted to share a few here as well.

Huge thanks to the PRH folks—I'm very grateful that Dead Money has the support of such a clever, hard-working team as we approach publication.

And huge thanks to you for continuing to subscribe! I hope to post updates much more regularly now that we're nearing publication.

More to come!
